These things about Metal Armor Dragonar are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Awesome Art: The first opening , courtesy of a then barely of-age Masami Obari. According to him it was all done in one month, without the usage of a character and mecha sheet. Add the fantastic Yume Iro Chaser to the end result and you get an opening most mecha anime envy, even to this very day.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome:
    • Yume-Iro Chaser, which is widely considered to be not only one of the best mecha openings from the 80s, but one of the best from the 80s period.
    • Starlight Serenade is a very sweet 80s dance-pop tune that may not beat Chaser's insane rhythm, but it's still got it. A lot of it.
