Mr. Brilliant is a run-of-the-mill Anime reviewer who rambles on various topics and tends to shallowly analyze various aspects of anime in a pretentious manner. He only has five episodes so far. They can be found on [http://www.dailymotion.com/animeoutsiders Dailymotion] and Bitchute.

* [[Badass Beard]]: Inverted. Mr. Brilliant's beard only made him more of a loser. According to a worker named Peter Dinklage, his beard hair looked like pubes.
*[[Cloudcuckoolander]]: Mr. Brilliant has a tendency of rambling on and on about various topics that aren't even related to the subject he covers in all of his videos. {{spoiler|Unlike the other uses of this trope, this is meant to make Mr. Brilliant more of a loser.}}
*[[Curse Cut Short]]: When Mr. Brilliant is about to reveal what the N in [[K-On!]] stands for, he gets cut off and music from [[The Neverhood]] series play. 
*[[Disappointed in You]]: When Mr. Brilliant watched K-On! with his uncle, his uncle hated the anime and asked, "Why did your parents do this to you?" Sadly, this went over Mr. Brilliant's head as he didn't understand what he was talking about.  
* [[Everyone Is Jesus in Purgatory]]
** In the second episode, Mr. Brilliant over-analyzes the OP of [[Bakemonogatari]] and adds meaning that wasn't there before. [[Overly Long Gag|The analysis itself is around 37 minutes long]].
** In the fourth episode, Mr. Brilliant ends up doing the same to [[Saga of Tanya the Evil]] and somehow comes up with the most non-sequitur analogies. 
*[[Fan Boy]]: 
** Mr. Brilliant is a fan of ''[[K-On!]]'' to the point of gushing on and on about the anime during the review without giving it any criticism at all. 
** Mr. Brilliant is a huge fan of Tattletale<ref>Tien</ref> because he's bald like him and Breakfast<ref>Launch</ref> because she's his "girlfriend" even though they're known to be pretty bland and thus tend to be unmemorable. 
*[[Her Codename Was Mary Sue]]: Mr. Brilliant proposes that Turtledove<ref>Akira Toriyama</ref> should introduce his Saiyan OC Characters in order to make Dragon Ball much better. The reason why they fall into this trope is because they're called "Mr. Brilliant's Girlfriend" and "Mr. Brilliant's Other Girlfriend", indicating that these girls have absolutely no personality at all. {{spoiler|These girls are meant as a jab at Plague of Gripes's Saiyan OCs.}}
*[[Loser Protagonist]]: Throughout his reviews, Mr. Brilliant ends up revealing things about his life that make him a huge loser.
*[[The Man Is Sticking It to the Man]]: Although Mr. Brilliant claims that [[Netflix]] broadcasting anime is terrible, it seems that he was paid by Crunchyroll to say that. After all, Crunchyroll and Netflix are competitors in the anime streaming industry.
*[[Missing Episode]]: The fourth episode was taken down because of [[YouTube]] policies. It was a review of the Saga of Tanya the Evil. Luckily it can be found on Dailymotion.
*[[Nostalgia Filter]]: Mr. Brilliant is a huge fan of the original [[Dragon Ball]] and harshly criticizes [[Dragon Ball Z]] and Dragon Ball Super even they've improved ideas from the orginal Dragon Ball.
*[[The Shill]]: In the third episode, Mr. Brilliant tries selling Crunchyroll as a better alternative to Netflix. He fails because he doesn't explain why Netflix is terrible at all.
*[[The Stinger]]
** In the third episode, Mr. Brilliant asks Miles if he did good and {{spoiler|breaks Kayfabe}}. Mr. Brilliant says that {{spoiler|he hates talking like this}} and a sound clip of someone saying "Fucking dick" plays. 
** In the fifth episode, a sound of someone yelling "It's a Boulder Mash" plays and a clip of BLM protestors plays with the avatar of Plague of Gripes superimposed onto a scene. {{spoiler|It's a jab at the time when Plague of Gripes made an aside to rant about current politics during one of his videos}}
*[[Take That]]: 
** Various scenes of Tien getting owned by Goku play throughout the fifth episode. To further rub it in, Mr. Brilliant can't even explain why Tien was good in the first place. There's even a comparison to Jiren the Grey, implying that they're both bland and unmemorable.
** {{spoiler|In reality, Mr. Brilliant is a piss take of various Anitube reviewers and points out their flaws in an exaggerated manner.}}
