My Little Pony: Fighting Is Magic was a fanmade Fighting Game that was being developed circa 2010-12 by a group who called themselves Mane6. It featured characters from the first season of the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Because of this it was hit with a Cease and Desist letter from Hasbro, and Mane6 completely abandoned the project, discarding the original premise, game engine, and art assets. They shifted their focus to a completely original game called Them's Fighting Herds, an early access version of which was released through Humble Bundle in 2018, with the final "1.0" version scheduled for release some time in 2020. To show that there were no hard feelings, Lauren Faust created all-new characters for the game. |
