It was a massive hit when released in Korea, and has spawned an American remake, a Japanese drama series remake <ref>(Ryokiteki na Kanojo)</ref>, a Bollywood version <ref>(Ugly Aur Pagli)</ref>, and a Chinese sequel named My Sassy Girl 2.
