Leaving the Fairy Flag to protect Macleod's in the future was [[Take a Third Option|a compromise.]] According to tales the MacLeod's have three times to call on it's protection from great danger, which usually means [[Proud Warrior Race|war]] of course and two have already been used (according to one version it was never actually used in [[World War 2]] though the MacLeod's took pieces of it to battle).
