- Non Sequitur Scene: Oh, of course, the whole game. But, specifically, the announcers. Even more specifically, the battle of the announcers. Even even more specifically, Jane in a sadomasochist outfit who's trying to "satisfy" her boss.
- Hollywood Homely: Amy.
- Memetic Mutation: Thresher's "TAKE YA DAMN CLOTHES OFF!!!"
- Nightmare Fuel: The image of John's mother that appears at the end of his dream.
- Padding: WHY, YES, WE DO WANT TO WATCH OUR HEROES GO ABOUT THEIR DAILY LIVES IN ONE LONG, OVER-PHOTOSHOPPED SLIDESHOW. Also, the actors apparently got distracted easily. The chase scene quickly turns into a slideshow of the actors having fun around Los Angeles tourist traps. The fact that Jane is wearing only a bra and skirt is the only indication that this has anything to do with the plot at all.
- Unfortunate Implications: If you have Jane make the first move, then after she goes to her interview John first reflects on his good fortune but then starts thinking that she must be a filthy slut because she hit on a guy she didn't know.
- What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: As the Nerd so nicely put it:
