Purgatory/Heartwarming

After our heroes choose to save the day despite knowing that they will receive eternal damnation for breaking the rules of Purgatory, they are marching resignedly towards the Gates of Hell... when suddenly the sound of galloping horses is heard, and the Coachman pulls up right in front of them and commands the Angel of Death to stop.

Coachman: Time to go home, folks!
(He opens the door of the coach as everyone stops to gape at him incredulously)
Coachman: (grinning) The Creator may be tough, but He ain't blind.

The last shot of the movie is Wild Bill, Jesse, Doc, and the Kid staring out the windows of the coach at the blinding light of Heaven, and Wild Bill -- for the first time in the movie -- beginning to smile.
