Non Sequitur Scene: Most of the earlier "illness of the week" episodes give at least some basic medical or biological explanation to the symptoms. In one episode though, a girl that suffers from hemorrhage turns out to be possessed by a tree.
Crowning Moment of Awesome: Just about every character gets one at some point, but what struck this troper most was Ray's mom grabbing the blade of a knife to protect her daughter.
Crowning Music of Awesome: The tune that plays during many of the operations. Also, the music at the climaxes of the final episodes.
