• Complete Monster: Vincent Goldman. He runs an Umbrella facility which creates Tyrants; it's what that involves which makes him cross the Moral Event Horizon.
• Fridge Logic: Why does the Chinese government try to kill Fong Ling after they pay Duvall, rather than just calling her home? Do they know something about her we don't?
• High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Tyrants are created by use of a certain hormone produced in the brains of teenagers. How do they get it out? By cutting into them without anesthesia!
• Moral Event Horizon: Umbrella stamps their ticket across with this game. As one plot analysis puts it, "For every Tyrant that's created, a teenager died screaming."
• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Dead Aim is easily considered the best of the Gun Survivors and a decent game in its own right.
