Since I was tricked into watching this stupid movie, I can review it. I didn't watch the first, that is how I got no warning signs this snake is venomous. Ok, this is trash. It's disgusting, unfunny, gross, juvenile and an inner manifestation of all the worst habits that South Park (a show that I despise) introduced into American pop culture. Deadpool was never nothing more than the biggest jump-the-shark moment for Marvel Comics, and this movie don't let me down in proving every second of the way that post-modernism doesn't make good comedy, the same for on-the-wall observations and annoying banter, and the fact characters lampshade it doesn't make it less annoying.
I felt myself dumber every minute, and I just didn't just drop it by the scene where Deadpool is only wearing a shirt because if I stopped watching I would break my own rules about only reviewing things I watched completely.
It's a great disservice to Cable that he was introduced to a bigger audience as a gross macho caricature to serve as partner to this annoying freakin' clown.
I wish Ryan Reynolds would go hide into a hole but when I wrote this review (April 2024) apparently, they're making a third installment of this with Hugh Jackman clearly needing a paycheck involved. Oh no I will not be tricked again. May you burn in hell Deadpool.
I will give it a 5 out of 10 because at least it's technically competent. Good lord, I really saw a mockery of JRPG boss theme sang in English using swear words.
How in the universe the same critics that bashed Revenge of Fallen to a pulp didn't realize this is made of the same bricks made of garbage?
