To quote ''[[Stand by Me]]'': "If [[Mickey Mouse|Mickey's a mouse]], [[Donald Duck|Donald's a duck]] and Pluto's a dog, [[Furry Confusion|what does that make Goofy?]]" Goofy's name was originally Dippy Dawg, so "anthropomorphic dog" (as opposed to a pet dog like [[Pluto the Pup]]) is probably correct.
