* How does Sasuke expect to take on Kakashi in this latest setup? I mean, let's face it... He just offed Danzo. He's exhausted, while Kakashi is fresh. Even if Sasuke were to assume that Kakashi hadn't gotten more powerful over the three years since they'd last seen one another, why is he assuming that he can take out his former teacher? This isn't about revenge, either. It's not like his fight with Danzo or Itachi, where he went in with a strong emotional backing to want to push the fight to the limit. The sum total of Kakashi's offensiveness to him is Kakashi's association with Konoha. I assume he's going to split, because if he actually fights Kakashi at anything but a major disadvantage it'll be a huge Ass Pull.
** Several reasons:
1 - He at least has some of his energy back from biting Karin, though admittedly not all of it.
2 - He has the stupidly overpowered Susanoo, which as far as he knows Kakashi has no hope of penetrating (just look at the effort it took Danzo to do it).
3 - Amaterasu fire eyes, which people can't really dodge (unless you're the Raikage).
4 - He's an over-confident, self-absorbed asshole who by this point thinks he's the greatest fucking thing on Earth. The ten-tailed beast could break out of the moon and he'd probably think he could win.

As for the actual result, here's how I see it. First, he isn't going to run, not until he gets some blows in at least:
1 - He fights and loses, but either runs or Madara grabs him. It's not like Madara's that busy at the moment.
2 - He fights and wins, killing Kakashi, then Madara shows up to grab the eye. <s>Kubo</s> Kishi seems to be going to a lot of effort to make Sasuke a monster, and killing Kakashi would do it.
3 - He fights, nearly wins, but Kakashi is saved by Naruto. Then he retreats.
4 - Same as above but without the retreating, and gets his sorry ass handed to him by Sage-powered Naruto, as a reminder to both the author himself and the audience who the goddamned protagonist of this story is (admittedly, this is wishful thinking on my part).
*** When did Kubo become the Manga KaMangaka? Most likely result, in This Troper's opinion: Kakashi roughes him up, they both try to deal a killing blow, Naruto comes in and saves both of them, then Sasuke does something stupid and evil, which gives Naruto all the reason he needs to beat the tar out of him. Then Sasuke pulls some hax and escapes, or Madara comes in and saves him.
**** Damn you Bleach and your author with a K-sound name! That could work too.
**** See my WMG about Kishimoto and Kubo peer-reviewing each other's work before publishing it.
