* [[Alternate Character Interpretation]]: Were Tucker and Esther Cobblepot really [[Abusive Parents]], or were they [[Well -Intentioned Extremist|Well Intentioned Extremists]] who wanted to spare their son the misery of growing up as a "freak"? When Oswald speaks to the press after "rescuing" the Mayor's baby, he seems to suggest that they were the latter ("....what I guess they felt they ''had'' to do....").
