** The [[The Nostalgia Critic (Web Video)|Critic]] and The [[The Nostalgia Chick (Web Video)|Chick]] do this a lot as well, only it's more [[Belligerent Sexual Tension]] (like most Critic pairings) coupled with [[The Masochism Tango]], and their [[Cringe Comedy|hideously awkward date]] couldn't completely [[Ship Sinking|sink]] it. In ''[[Kickassia]]'' he makes her vice president {{spoiler|and [[The Starscream|she immediately starts trying to kill him.]]}}
*** Also, in [[The Nostalgia Chick (Web Video)|the Chick's]] "11 Embarrassing Nostalgic Dance Crazes", the Chick mentions a date that Nella set her up on. Flashback to the Chick and [[The Nostalgia Critic (Web Video)|the Critic]] on an awkward date.
*** In his ''[[Kickassia]]'' commentary, Doug says that calling her "Mrs. Vice-President" was a mistake but he couldn't be bothered to edit it out. So yay happy accidents!
** Not so much anymore, but there was always a little bit of this with Critic's crossovers with the [[The Angry Video Game Nerd (Web Video)|Nerd]], especially with the term "Nerd-on-Critic action" being thrown around. Best described on their [[Foe Yay]] section.
** And then there's Critic/Lupa in ''[[Suburban Knights]]''. Even lampshaded by the commentaries as playing to the fem!dom lovers in the fandom.
* Draco and Hermione get a lot during ''[[A Very Potter Musical]]''. He has a crush on her but she hooks up with Ron. Then ''A Very Potter Sequel'', which is set one year later, has a ton for Hermione and Ron, showing how they ended up hooking up.
* Dana and Tom sure do look cuddly in [[The Stinger]] of ''[[Echo Chamber (Web Video)|Echo Chamber]]'''s "Trope Of The Week" ''[[Unresolved Sexual Tension]]''...
* In ''[[We Are Our Avatars (Roleplay)|We Are Our Avatars]]'', [[Mega Man (Videovideo Gamegame)|Mega Man]] and [[Cute Monster Girl|Luca]]'s {{[[User|Etheru]] respective}} [[User:Sapphire Flame|players]] have been having a little too much fun with this recently. According to [[Word of God]](s), though, it's doubtful anything serious will come out of it.
** And before that, there was Michael and Melody, with the Shipper On Deck and She Is Not My Girlfriend (and, inversely, He Is Not My Boyfriend) moments.
** A!Rika/Catherine was teased a bit, though Word Of God says that she only did it for the lulz. She later admitted that she wasn't really trying anymore.

** There was a brief one-sided bout of this towards the beginning with Dusk Boogie and his [[Childhood Friend Romance|long-time childhood friend]], Piper Cheeks. The two later became the first [[Official Couple]].
** Kyle Macleod and Ellen "Newt" Ripley Junior had a lot of this, which later led to them becoming the second [[Official Couple]].
