Hey, It's That Voice!: Given the very Supermarionation-inspired style, it's interesting to hear Denise Bryer, from early Supermarionation productions The Adventures of Twizzle and Four Feather Falls, as the voice of Commander Makara. She went on to voice the villain Zelda in Gerry Anderson's Terrahawks. (Tony Lenny, one of the editors, also collaborated with the Terrahawks production.)
What Might Have Been : DVD extras reveal that the British licencee attempted to buy the puppets and models from the Japanese production company with a view to making a sequel, only to discover that they had been mostly destroyed in a storage warehouse fire. The second series wouldn't have been a continuation, but a mirror universe retelling of the story with Lamia as the villain and Makara as the hero...
