- Acceptable Targets: Hookers, fat women and anything to do with 80's rock. Which by extension also means themselves.
- Alternative Character Interpretation: Amusingly several critics and even individuals who've met them claim they shouldn't be considered a parody band at all. They simply are.
- Crosses the Line Twice: Some critics feel they take jokes too far. Fans on the other hand, love the fact they frequently do this.
- Dude, Not Funny: Some members of Motley Crue (but not all of them) have explained that they don't get the joke. Amusingly enough, they're currently co-headlining a tour with Def Leppard with Steel Panther as support.
