Apparently, the licensing for Blu-ray means that pressed discs are required to include copy protection software (wasting space on the disc), even if you are not using it, and you have to pay for the license fee for that software, too. This is at least one reason why I think that HD-DVD is a better physical format (although I don't like the movie formats of either HD-DVD nor Blu-ray).
