It still has just barely enough examples to merit launching, and I do like it. Anyone object?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

No one objects, so launching.

Can we get more examples, please?

Five is just barely enough to merit a launch, but there have to be more examples out there.

Just added one to Music. Could it be the Ur Example?(I don't recall how old the song is.)

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

It isn't the Ur Example -- the Bing Crosby song mentioned in the main text is older by 12 years (1936 vs. 1948 for "Ghost Riders"). But neither is an example of the trope defined here, which is the modern use of the phrase to indicate defiance or disrespect in the face of an enemy...

I did five minutes of Google research and was able to turn this into something more than just "this is a thing people say sometimes". A few more examples and some categories and it'll be good to go.

EDIT: Never mind about the categories, I just added a few. Now for some more examples.
