  • The overall dynamic of the turtles and Splinter really shines in comparison to the other adaptations. While they fight, squabble and tease each other sometimes, but they love and care for each other and even care about others in danger. Risking their secrets being found out, just to help people.
  • After Raphael's fight with Casey Jones. A depressed and angry Raph, just wants to go home and get some sleep, but after some prodding from Master Splinter, he sits down and listens to him. He expected a lecture that would annoy him at best, but anger and hurt him at worst. However what Splinter says, is a reminder of how much of a family they are regardless of what he's going through and that he is not alone. This was enough to surprise and move Raphael to tears.

Splinter: My Master Yoshi's first rule was "Possess the right thinking. Only then can one receive the gifts of strength, knowledge, and peace." I have tried to channel your anger, Raphael, but more remains. Anger clouds the mind. Turned inward, it is an unconquerable enemy. You are unique among your brothers, for you choose to face this enemy alone. But as you face it, do not forget them, and do not forget me. I am here, my son.

  • When Raphael rescues April from the Foot Clan. Despite risking being followed, he takes her to Splinter, because he didn't think she'd be safe where she was or in a hospital. With the Foot out to get her. And while Leonardo and Splinter somewhat protest due to their secrecy, when Raphael explains the situation, Splinter immediately orders Leonardo and Donatello to get some water and a wash cloth for her. Splinter himself watching over her as she wakes up. While she does initially flip out, which startles Leonardo and Donatello, Splinter doesn't even flinch. As though he knew that was gonna happen. When he explains their situation, she calms down and warms up to the Turtles and their Master.
  • After dropping April off back at her place and having a great time, eating pizza and listening to Michelangelo's impressions, the turtles come home to find Splinter missing. Which is a tearjerker, but it does lead to a heartwarming moment. April, like before, could have dismissed everything as a dream and not let them come back, in hopes to get back to reality. However, when their master has been kidnapped, she sees them as they are. Scared teenagers, whom can't find their father figure. Not only does she let them stay at her place, but uses her resources at the News Station to try to find The Foot Clan, so the Turtles can find Splinter. Even going so far as thanking Raphael on TV for rescuing her.
  • After their first defeat at the hands of The Foot Clan, Leonardo keeps a vigil on a comatose Raphael. Feeling guilty about what he said, before The Foot beat him half to death. When Raphael wakes up, he doesn't even let Leonardo finish his apology, having already forgiven him as they hug it out.

Leonardo: Listen Raph. About what I said before. About us not needing you and all. I-
Raphael: Leo....don't.

  • Splinter gets another moment with Danny, the delinquent son of April's Boss, whom joined the Foot Clan, because he didn't think his father really cared about him. Splinter sets him straight on that one. But at the same time, he was thinking of his own sons, when he said it.

Splinter: How can a face so young, wear so many burdens?
Danny: So, you can talk.
Splinter: Yes and I can also listen. Some say, the path from inner turmoil begins with a friendly ear. My ear is open, if you care to use it.
Danny: No. I don't think so.
Splinter: What is your name?
Danny: Danny.
Splinter: And you have no one to go to Danny? No parent?
Danny: My dad couldn't care less about me.
Splinter: I doubt that is true.
Danny: Why?
Splinter: All fathers care for their sons.

  • When the iconic Apartment Fight goes south for the Turtles, due to Raphael being unconscious, Casey Jones shows up to the rescue. Now Casey did not have to do this as his initial meeting with Raphael wasn't the best meeting and the next time he sees him, he spies on him from his own roof. However, the second he saw Raph in danger, he rushed in there. Even referred to him as his little green pal when he's showing up to fight The Foot Clan. But the best part is, though he knows Raph, he barely knows the other Turtles, yet keeps the foot at bay long enough for them to escape. Leo in turn before escaping the trap door, makes sure that Casey has a way out too, but Casey instead covers their escape before buying enough time to leave the burning building.

Casey Jones: Gangway man, I'll take care of these guys.
Leo: You coming?
Casey: I'll cover you!!

  • Moments after Raphael wakes from his Coma, he's much more calmer and sociable among the Turtles, April and Casey. When Michaelangelo makes a pun with Turtle Wax, rather than be annoyed, he playfully noogies Mikey. Before Leonardo interrupts them with news about Splinter, he is seen with his brothers playing Trivial Pursuit.
  • What prompted Leonardo to interrupt them. Leo was meditating by himself and he gets a vision of Splinter. He convinces Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello to join him in a group meditation by the fire. Although reluctant at first, the three join in and Splinter relays an astral message to them all. After they listened, they all became in tears, finished their training and decide to head back to New York to stop The Foot Clan once and for all.

Splinter: I am proud of you, my sons. Tonight you have learned the final and greatest truth of the Ninja: that ultimate mastering comes not from the body, but from the mind. Together, there is nothing your four minds cannot accomplish. Help each other, draw upon one another, and always remember the power that binds you. The same is what brought me here tonight, that which I gladly return with my final words: I love you all, my sons.
