  • While she's being chastised by Joseph for producing a mutant baby for the third time and for attempting to borrow Petra to fool the inspector, Aunt Harriet decides she's had it up to here with his bullshit, and when Joseph tells her to go home and pray for committing such heresy, she promptly tells him that she's going to pray that self-righteous bigots like him get broken. It's a shame she never lives to see her prayer get answered.
    • David also gets his own moment in Chapter 5, as he fights Alan despite Alan being twice his size and endures a Moral Event Horizon-crossing beating from his father all in order to protect Sophie from being discovered as a mutant. He's ultimately unsuccessful, but that doesn't take away from his courage.
