  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Gooey is a far cry from the lovable blob from the games. In fact, Kirby never sees him (for the majority of the story, at least), as he communicates via cell phone, so we don't really know what he even looks like in this story. It's highly implied that he is reclusive. It is later revealed that he really is a blue blob, but his personality is very different from that in the games.
  • Complete Monster: Meta Knight becomes one gradually.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Kirby epically curb stomping Dark Matter after suddenly awakening from the trance it put him in. During said fight, Kirby was moving so fast that even Dark Matter could not hit him.
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Marx's mind is a scary place.
  • Moral Event Horizon: You can tell Tac is no longer an ally when he almost dooms Pop Star, and possibly the entire Milky Way Galaxy, by nearly selling the Star Rod to a pawn shop on Aqualiss. He even knew what the Star Rod was, and that Pop Star was in peril, but he chose to let Pop Star suffer for money. Thank God Chuchu and Gooey arrived just in time.
