Of particular renown is the film's tango scene, which was included in the film specifically to highlight newcomer Valentino's dancing skills.

In addition to launching the career of Valentino, ''The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse'' was also one of the highest-grossing films of the silent era, earning over $4 million at the box office during its initial theatrical run.
