  • Most of the humor in the series falls flat, but at almost the very beginning, there's one joke that even most of the books' detractors will admit works. Trioculus has declared himself Emperor, and then turns to his advisory council for suggestions on where to base the new temporary Imperial capital. The council is caught completely flat-footed, as Emperor Palpatine never asked for suggestions.
