The game was officially announced at E3 2010 and released in November 2011 for the Nintendo Wii. Prior to the game's official announcement, a single piece of concept art was released to the public in 2009. Said art portrayed a silver girl with Link, and numerous visual cues coupled with hints from Shigeru Miyamoto led fans to believe she was the Anthropomorphic Personification of the Master Sword. |
