  • Banned In Iran: After 1979's Islamic Revolution, the fundamentalist clerics in charge of Iran tried to suppress mention of the country's Zoroastrian heritage, including The Shahnameh. It wasn't too successful, though. Most Iranians weren't about to give it up.
