  • Non Sequitur Scene: Alvin's encounter with a crazily distraught woman who keeps on accidentally running over deer. The only thing it really adds to the film is that Alvin eats the deer and mounts the antlers on his tractor.
  • Heartwarming Moments: When Alvin Straight meets his brother and neither of them say anything, but are able to acknowledge each other one last time.
