The first time I tried to read The Three Musketeers, I got about halfway through and fell apart. I couldn't take it--too melodramatic, too boring. The second time, several years later, I started it again, skimmed through everything I'd read before, reached roughly the same point... and then started to laugh. I realized it was supposed to be funny! I enjoyed the hell out of it after that. --User:Scifantasy
