Time Warner Cable was the second-largest cable television provider in the United States (a distant second, behind Comcast). It was formerly owned by Time Warner, the parent company of cable networks such as CNN, Cartoon Network, TBS, and TNT. TWC was spun off into a separate company from Time Warner in 2009 for it then to be acquired by Charter Communications in 2016. It still retains its name in some markets but has otherwise been renamed to Spectrum, Charters own brand.
