I approve too. LK is doing a lot of the work that I'm too busy to do.

We're not great at giving out rights in advance, mainly because we're lazy. Being frustrated that you can't do more is the exact right mood to apply.

So far as the decision process here, it's pretty loose:

  • If you understand the situation well, and think it's not controversial - go ahead and do the action
  • If you're asking a question like "why does this page even exist?" and the answer is not obvious ("b/c tropers are nuts" is an answer too), go ahead and ask before taking action. Something like 3 admins total, or 2 admins plus community input is generally enough to move forward.
  • Things like this request that affect everyone should get a broad consensus.

Generally just trust your instincts. High confidence and minor effect, go ahead; medium/medium ask for confirmation; low confidence or major effect, full discussion.
