It's SuperMarioGlitchy4. Now I don't want to spam this talk page even more. Others are free to add their own perceptions about the video linked at the top. (Some knowledge about the context is helpful. SMG4 has its own fanon Wiki. Also it's helpful to know about the characters' functions in their original universes.) I've already written pretty much everything I have to say about it, I think.
My conclusion is that it depends on how you interpret Mario's role - if you see him as a hero, he is this trope and his foils as well. But I think he is actually meant to be an adaptational villain, or an Anti-Hero at best.
