I think it's too big. We don't need a 2400 x 2400 px, 5.96MB file to illustrate this concept, especially since it's thumbnailed to 250 px in the Tom Stranger article. Having a file this large increases storage usage and CPU load on the hosting servers, and makes it difficult to load the image. Plus, fair use rationale on Wikipedia states that the image uploaded should be small and of lower quality, so it will never replace the original. Do you mind if I resize it to 400 x 400 px?


Per All The Tropes:Uploading and Adding an Image to a Page, "It's often a good idea to resize images before uploading them; making an image anywhere between 350 to 450 pixels wide is usually ideal."

Ah, I didn't realize how big the image was. Go ahead and resize it.

I did it. It's not a perfect solution, because the original image is still lying around on some Miraheze drive, but it's a good step in the right direction.
