- Ear Worm - both the opening and closing themes.
- God Mode Sue: In spite of a large cast of characters, including several combiners and the Sky Lynx-like Galaxy Shuttle, the series goes to great pains to remind the viewer that only Star Saber can save the day. And does.
- Values Dissonance - Killbison and a human farmer each give the finger a few times. In Japan, at least at the time, the gesture wasn't considered offensive, but it would be completely inappropriatee in a kids' show in America and several other countries.
