Urusei Yatsura: The Senior Year by Fred Herriot and Mike Smith (some mature themes and homosexuality).

* Synopsis: After Lum discovers that her infamous electric shocks may be dangerous to Ataru's health, their relationship starts turning in a new direction.
* Comments: Set sometime after the manga/5th movie. The story is well-paced, with a good mixture of action, romance and adventure. It's also respectful to the characters, although Megane gets Put on a Bus "off-camera" after a fairly-intense scene.

Lonely Souls by Fred Herriott (Crossover with Ranma ½ and Sister Princess)

* Synopsis: What is the strange link between Ranma Saotome and Ataru Moroboshi? Why has Ataru abandoned Tomobiki and retreated to an island off the coast of Japan? Why has Ranma retreated from Nerima and joined him there? Who are the girls who claim to be Ataru's sisters? Why do they insist on addressing Ranma as "big sister"?
* Pairing(s): Ranma/Ataru
* Tags: Fem!Ranma, OOC!Ataru
* Comments: A huge but incomplete work that ties two of Rumiko Takahashi's most famous works together with an unexpected romantic plot whose roots stretch back to well before the beginning of either series. Despite the apparent unlikelihood of the central pairing, the development of the relationship is careful and slow, and presence of the girls form Sister Princess both help and reinforce the plot, which grows increasingly epic in scale as the action moves from two Tokyo neighborhoods out into the galaxy at large in discrete but inexorable steps. May not be to everyone's tastes, and the abrupt ending in the middle of some high-tension adventure is particularly frustrating, but it really is worth giving it a try.
