He started working in L.A. in the developement department of a small production company before landing guest spots on shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and ER. He starred in Dinotopia and co-starred in The Human Stain before landing the role of Michael in Prison Break, an international phenomenon. He also appeared in two Mariah Carey music videos: "It's Like That" and "We Belong Together".
Has the nickname Stinky (for having a snarky attitude in college, not because of hygiene.) He is also a rare western example of a Bishonen.
He wrote a screenplay titled "Stoker" that currently appears on "The Black List," a list of the ten best unproduced screenplays making the rounds in Hollywood.
