Arddun Lleuad

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Arddun Lleuad is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfic by Pride.

Chester Llewellyn was not prepared to fight for his very life on the alien planet that had suddenly become his reality, following a sickening experience that nearly tore him apart at the seams. Creatures of myth and legend hunt for his blood as he simply tries to survive, totally unaware of the Equestrian utopia not miles away.

But they are aware of him. Equestria is seeking Chester, enough to send the legendary war hero of Canterlot to personally track him down. His ravenous curiosity at the alien horse species, the brilliant tactics of his hunter, and the beasts of his forest-home that would tear him to pieces in a split second barely come close to the effect that the moon in the night sky has upon him, changing his world and his life completely.

And somewhere out there, at the tallest point of Equestria, somepony needs Chester, and fast.

A 30,000-word shipping epic, Arddun Lleuad attempts to combat the intense stigma of giving a human and a pony a meaningful, romantic relationship while providing a story that simply cannot be put down.

Has a sequel, subtitled "Chwe Goleadau".

Needs Wiki Magic.

Tropes used in Arddun Lleuad include:

  • Bilingual Bonus: Arddun Lleuad and Chwe Goleadau are Welsh for "Beautiful Moon" and "Six Lights", respectively.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Playful mega-kitten Mittens, when he leaves Chester's side for the night to hold a challenging procession through the Everfree Forest to duel the reigning manticore, the Jungle King, who turns out to be his father.
  • Eldritch Abomination: "The Enemy", as it is referred to at first. Later named Schaden.
  • Meaningful Name: Schaden's name is German for "Damage", but more specifically is derived from Schadenfreude(translates to "Malicious Joy"), ie Sadism. Fitting for a monster that's meant to be the anthropomorphic personification of such a concept.
  • What Could Have Been: Pride didn't fully finish Chwe Goleadau, and had plans for at least a third installment, but neither will see completion due to his leaving the Fandom for personal reasons. However, seeing as how he gave permission for his character(s)/Verse to be used by other people...
