- Harsher in Hindsight: The whole film is about Barbara's life being in danger. Her voice actress Mary Kay Bergman committed suicide a few years after making the film.
- Ho Yay: A huge YMMV regarding this one, but some of Freeze and Dr. Belson's interactions.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: A pop remix of the standard "Am I Blue" plays on the radio in Barbara Gordon's room. In the Justice League Unlimited episode "This Little Piggy", Batman goes onstage in a nightclub and sings - you guessed it - "Am I Blue".
- Nightmare Fuel: Mr. Freeze's revenge on the submarine crew. Imagine returning to the cave where your team's sub is parked after a scientific expedition...only to discover the frozen corpses of your comrades.
- Jerkass Woobie:
Barbara: How can you treat people this way? |
- Wham Line: "If I'm not back in time go without me!"
