Faux Symbolism - Done intentionally with the short story "Llama"; the main protagonist sees signs that connect to the death of his wife and unborn child but they are all coincidental and he's just insane.
Nightmare Fuel - In abundance. A prime example is his short story "Pop Star in the Ugly Bar" with its ever-so-pleasant descriptions of the patrons and what they do to said Pop Star.
