Breed 77, pronounced "Breed Seven-Seven" are a Gibraltan alternative metal/flamenco band, with a unique sound that combines conventional metal elements with something quintessentially Meditteranean.

Having toured with the likes of Black Sabbath and Machine Head, they're now a headlining act in their own right, and in 2009 released their fifth studio album, Insects.

The band's members freely admit that they are in the business for the money, though that doesn't appear to have damaged them any.

Breed 77 provides examples of the following tropes:
  • Cover Song: Zombie, originally by The Cranberries, with the second verse updated to reference 9/11 rather than 1916.
  • Money, Dear Boy: The reason the band exists at all, which they shamelessly admit. No one seems to care.
  • Tear Jerker The aptly named Tears, which is about children as victims of war. The final chorus is actually sung by a group of children, the fade out being to the sound of artillery.
  • World of Cardboard Speech: Ressurection, about a man who has lost everything but is still determined to keep on fighting.
