These are recommendations made by Tropers for Cardcaptor Sakura fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.

You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

Status guide:

Complete: Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
Ongoing: The fic is being updated on a regular basis,^[1] or has received an update after a significant absence.
Dormant: The fic has not been updated in a fairly long time (several months to a year or more) but the author has not pronounced it dead.
Dead: The fic has not been updated in several years, or the author has specifically said that it will not be updated.

Note: Fics listed as Dormant or Dead will be changed to Ongoing if/when they receive updates. If you see a rec with a blank status, and you're familiar with the fanfic, please add the correct status.

Synopsis: This authoress has a beautiful writing style and has a real talent for keeping the characters in character as well as giving them believable and realistic development. The romance is never shoved in the reader's face and is not the only focus of the stories. The settings and premises are well thought out and stretch across multiple genres. There is a wide spectrum of length, ranging from one-shots to multi-chapters to a trilogy. By far, the best alternate universe Cardcaptor Sakura writer I discovered to date, and my synopsis cannot hope to do her works justice.

General Fics

Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.

Synopsis: Sakura is one of the nicest girls you would ever meet, so it's almost unfair that she becomes cursed by an ancient book. She's forced to track down and capture ancient spirits before they cause terrible destruction. She uses the spirits she's captured to capture the others... There's only one problem with that. Every time she uses a spirit, some of her life is taken away. No one knows, not even her best friend Tomoyo, who believes this is all fun and games. When Syaoran Li shows up to investigate the strange powers, he finds Sakura. After he starts to notice a change in her magical strength as well as her own appearance, she confides in him the awful truth of the curse. Even if she captures all the cards, it will probably kill her in the end. As Sakura struggles, Syaoran's feelings make him carry the biggest burden of all. He can only watch as he falls in love with a person marked for death. As Sakura continues to lie to everyone she loves, the only person she can turn to is a stranger. One who can painfully do nothing but tell her she'll "make it through another day".

There is no super Sakura, just a girl who has great power but lacks the experience to use it properly; instead, we have Sakura’s progress in study, making friends and her interactions with the differences between Western and Eastern magic.
