YMMV Tropes for the Game Show.
- Crowning Music of Awesome / Ear Worm: The original 1986-93 theme.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The British version lasted waaaaaaaaay longer than the American version, following in the pattern of other British adaptations of American game shows such as Blockbusters.
- Replacement Scrappy: Nick Weir and Mark Curry. While good hosts in their own right, they pretty much had no chance when following the legendary Walker.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks: The final season, with new host Curry, marked a move from the show's established weekly slot on ITV to the network's daytime lineup. Moving from weekly primetime to daily daytime meant the stakes were cheaper. Much cheaper.
- Too Good to Last: Common fan opinion regarding the American version, which was also Art James' last game show.
