  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Chilly Willy is male. His original voice actress was Sara Berner (1912-1969). A number of subsequent entries into his series were voiced by Grace Stafford (1903-1992) and Bonnie Baker (1917-1990). Averted in the shorts where Willy is voiced by Daws Butler (1916-1988).
  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Daws Butler, was the voice of Smedley Dog and (occassionally) Chilly Willy. Butler was also familiar to fans as the voice of Loopy de Loop, Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Looey, Huckleberry Hound (who had the same southern drawl as Smedley), Yogi Bear and Snagglepuss, Wally Gator, Peter Potamus, etc.
