Clare Maguire (b. September 1987) is a British singer-songwriter of Irish descent. She is signed to Universal Music Group's Polydor Records with her first album, Light After Dark being released in early 2011. She cites her musical influences as being Johnny Cash, Prince, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and Sister Rosetta Thorpe. Her voice has been described by reviewers as similar to Stevie Nicks and Annie Lennox. An upcoming talent, she was singled out by MTV as one of their Brand New: For 2011 Acts. Maguire has also supported acts as diverse as Plan B, Hurts and The Script in the past.
