Darkman/Awesome

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Due to the Superheroic nature of the movie, it's fitting that Darkman had it's fair share of awesome moments.

  • The Chase Scene: When Strack reveals to Durant who was responsible for messing with their business, Durant and his men storm Peyton's hideout using Julie as bait. While he was enraged at her kidnapping, Darkman prepared for the moment they'd find him. He first takes down Gooseman after scaring him with synthetic replicas of heads and faces. Then makes him wear two masks, one of his original face and one of Smiley over top of it. The real Smiley mistakes him for Darkman and kills him, before the real Darkman shows up with another Smiley mask. Scaring the crap out of Smiley before beating the crap out of him. On top of that, he leaves him to die in an explosive trap similar to the one that created him before confronting Durant. His confrontation adding more horror in Durant's eyes, by first confronting him with his former face, glaring daggers at him as he clings onto his helicopter. Then throwing one of his men off as it takes off. When Durant tries to knock him off, he removes the mask showing Darkman's bandaged self. Scaring Durant, before he knocks him off the helicopter. Darkman clings onto the cable and Durant tries to shake him off, culminating in an awesome spectacle of Darkman swining around the city while the helicopter movies. Showing just how strong he is, Darkman crashes feet first into a nearby building shattering the glass, meekly apologizing to the workers and swinging back out. A police chopper gets involved and engages Durant in a gunfight. Which spills out onto a nearby highway. Durant having enough, blows up the chopper, before setting his sights on Darkman. He tries to shoot him, which thanks to Darkman's adrenaline powered reflexes he's able to dodge them. He eventually lands on a nearby truck where he hooks the cable to, just as it's heading for a low bridge tunnel. Dragging the chopper and Durant to his blazing demise. The last shot of the scene is Darkman, who's bandages fell off half his face as he taunts the remains of the damaged helicopter, still being dragged by the truck.

 Darkman: BURN IN HELL!!!
