• Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Geri Jewell, who played Jewel, actually has cerebral palsy.
• Fake American: Northern Irish Paula Malcolmson as Trixie.
  • An odd case with British Ian McShane as Al Swearengen. The person he is based on was American, but the production crew feared that McShane could slip into his native accent so they threw in some lines where other characters comment on some rumor that he was British born.
• Lzherusskie: Averted for Blazanov. The actor Pavel Lychnikoff was born and raised in Russia.
