• When Tracy first meets the Kid. He was talking to Tess about having a day off, when the Kid accidentally hits him with the diner door. He at first dismisses it as the kid fooling around and lets him leave, but when one of the patrons tells Tracy the kid stole his watch, Tracy chases him on foot. Much of what makes it funny is that it looks as though Tracy is chasing him all over town. First questioning if the kid stole the watch, then pleading him to stop running and that he shouldn't get in trouble over a watch. The whole time Tracy isn't stopping to take a breath. When they get to the train tracks rather than telling him to stop, Tracy's more worried about the kid getting hit by one of the trains. The kid makes it past one of the tracks as soon as the train passes by and he's already gone, much to Tracy's shock. What makes the whole thing funnier is that, even though he didn't see where the Kid was going, Tracy still managed to track him down to Steve The Tramp's shack.
• "Wait a minute! Wait. I'm having a thought. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I'm gonna have a thought. It's coming... It's gone!"
• Tracy's deadpan snarkery throughout.

Tracy (completely deadpan): Take the bad men away. They frighten me.

• Pacino in Large Ham mode start to finish.
• Tracy's musings of what The Blank is ("Is the enemy of my enemy my friend...") that eventually confuses his partners.
• Seemingly every conversation Breathless has with Tracy is designed to seduce him. A particularly amusing set of lines:

Tracy: No grief for Lips? Breathless: I'm wearing black underwear. Tracy: You know, it's legal for me to take you downtown and sweat it out of you under the lights. Breathless: I sweat a lot better in the dark.

• One of the gangsters at the meeting decides he's not going to accept Big Boy's authority over him, and walks out. The moment he steps into his car, it explodes, and most everyone in the room jumps to their feet in surprise and alarm-- except for...

Big Boy [deadpan]: Very upsetting.

• "TRACY! I did not kidnap this woman!"
• Another Tracy/Breathless exchange:

Breathless: Thanks for calling. I was beginning to wonder what a girl had to do to get arrested. Tracy: Wearing that dress is a step in the right direction.
