- Fan-Preferred Couple: One who is almost played for laughs. Wanda's obsession with becoming a mother and the movie making question of pointing out how Strange will never marry Christine made fans half-jokingly demand that Strange should try to woo Wanda to make her obsession cease. That has some resonance with the comics, where Stephen is indeed attracted to Wanda, though the reverse is not true.
