  • Bad Export for You: The U.S. version had the entire story stripped out of the game and replaced with a shoddy Excuse Plot in the manual. Note that the game was reverse-ported to the Genesis from the Sega CD.
  • No Export for You: The Sega CD version. Overseas territories only got the Genesis version with no in-game story.
  • What Could Have Been: A prototype of the Genesis version exists with an actual intro and ending. Said intro does line up pretty well with the CD version's plot, though the ending is pretty basic. Nonetheless, it shows that some attempt was made at keeping the story of the game up until release.
