Eat Bulaga!/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

These things about Eat Bulaga! are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Archive Panic: With over 10,000 episodes, the most of any Filipino TV show.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: While the AlDub pairing was indeed wildly popular during its heyday, many of those who watched the "Kalyeserye" were more into the antics of Jose, Wally and Paolo in character as the Lolas than the pairing itself.
  • Squick: On top of the Baste Versace incident, the show may become this to some when they realise that one of the key figures behind TAPE, Inc. was a convicted sex offender who allegedly assaulted an eleven-year old, thus leading to some netizens voicing their disgust over Romeo Jalosjos taking over the show.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Not everyone is on board with the new cast, to say the least.
  • Values Dissonance: Taken to a borderline disturbing level when then-five-year old Baste was made to sing Bruno Mars' "Versace on the Floor". Anyone with the right mind could tell that given the song's steamy lyrics, having a small child sing such a lewd song is just Sick and Wrong. Had this performance been done elsewhere, the show's hosts and management as well as GMA would have been held liable for what amounts to child abuse, though as to why this flew off the radar when a similarly obscene performance from a child contestant in the prime time game show Willing Willie generated intense controversy is a Riddle for the Ages.
    • Not helping matters were long-standing allegations of the TVJ having supposedly raped a young actress (whose stage name was derived from a certain popular soda brand and previously starred in a number of softcore porn movies) and coerced her to keep her mouth shut about it, ultimately leading to her suicide.
