Everybody Remembers the Stripper/Playing With

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Basic Trope: The most memorable thing about a work is the fanservice.

  • Straight: Legends of Troperia is a popular RPG, but the thing most people remember about it is that the female leads all wear Stripperific costumes.
  • Exaggerated: Legends of Troperia has nudity and/or sex for exactly one scene. It's the only thing anyone remembers about the work.
  • Downplayed: While many things about the plot are remembered, it's most recalled for its blatant Fan Service.
  • Justified: The creators knew their work was lacking, so they filled it full of fanservice to compensate.
  • Inverted:
    • Everyone forgets the fanservice after a few years.
    • Everything but the fanservice is remembered.
  • Parodied: Legends of Troperia is an X-rated video game, but all anyone ever remembers about it is the plot.
  • Averted: Legends of Troperia is such a forgettable work that not even the fans remember the sexy parts.
  • Enforced: "Holy crap, this game is kinda bland and boring. Stick the girls in some skimpy dresses and ship it."
  • Lampshaded: "This leotard is very tough to fight in." "Who cares? These skimpy costumes are the only things people will remember about this game in five years."
  • Exploited: See "Enforced" and "Defied"
  • Defied: "We've gotta sell this game, but let's focus on making an original, engaging storyline before we fall back on sexualizing the ladies."
