Also known as 5iVe Days to Midnight, this is a five-part Miniseries which ran on the Sci Fi Channel in June 2004. It features J.T. Neumeyer, a physicist who discovers a briefcase containing postdated documents and evidence which indicate he will die five days in the future.
Tropes:
- Alternate Universe: Created by JT being saved. Carl names the trope directly.
- Chekhov's Gun: Lots of them, but the gun JT hid behind a radiator is an aversion, since he got Out Gambitted by Sikorski.
- Child Prodigy: Jessie Neumeyer.
- Corrupt Cop: Irwin Sikorski.
- Drives Like Crazy: Carl when coming to kill JT.
- Go Mad From the Revelation: Carl Axelrod is certain that the universe demands JT's death. It puts him over the edge.
- Imported Future Phlebotinum: The "super-metal" case.
- Papa Wolf: JT gets a little aggressive when his daughter is in danger.
- Psycho Ex: Roy Bremmer.
- Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Jessie Neumeyer's goal.
- Screw Destiny: JT decides to do this.
- Stable Time Loop
- Who Dunnit to Me?: The whole point.
- Write Back to The Future: Inverted.
- You Can't Fight Fate: Carl is convinced of this.
